Every court starts with an honest read of the slab. If the existing concrete or old court coating is badly delaminated, spalled, or failing, we do a full surface removal with an industrial walk-behind floor grinder. That is the worst-case path — most courts are structurally sound and move straight to deep cleaning.
When the surface is in serviceable condition, we pressure wash at 4000 PSI using a turbo nozzle and a rotary surface cleaner, paired with cleaning chemicals that strip dirt, algae, and organic staining. This does more than clean — it opens the pores of the concrete so the coating system bonds mechanically instead of sitting on top of it. Proper prep is the single biggest factor in how many years the finish lasts.
Expansion joints, sockets, and cracks are filled with a specialty flexible caulking engineered to expand and contract with the slab through years of thermal movement. Rigid concrete patch cannot handle that movement and telegraphs back through the color coat as hairline fractures within 6 to 12 months. Our repairs cure overnight before anything else goes down.
Day two opens with a primer coat that locks the prepared surface down and gives the resurfacer a uniform, chemically receptive base across the whole slab.
Next come two full coats of acrylic resurfacer. Resurfacer is a filling material, not a finish coat — it levels imperfections, buries minor texture variation, and builds the smooth, true plane the color coats need. It cures overnight before we touch it again.
Day three is color: two full coats of pigmented Plexipave in the colors you choose. This is a different formulation than resurfacer — it is engineered to carry pigment and lay down glass-smooth, which is why our courts show no squeegee lines or brush marks and hold vivid color for years. Four coats total: two resurfacer, two color.
Regulation lines are chalked, taped, and hand-painted to spec — single sport or layered multi-sport. Then we clean the site, walk the finished court with you, and go over cure time and care before we pull off the property.
Timelines shift with surface condition, needed repairs, and add-ons such as fence painting, chain-link or retaining wall installation, hoop and net post installs, windscreen work, or court lighting. The average court is finished in 3 to 5 days.

Buy a Roll-Dri and push standing water off after rain or any wash-down. Standing water is the number one enemy of an acrylic court surface, and acidic contaminants like bird droppings will etch the finish if they sit.
Keep the surface free of leaves, dirt, and organic debris, keep sprinkler overspray off the court entirely, and remove standing water promptly. Many of our clients also have colors refreshed every 2–3 years to keep the court looking showroom-new.
We strongly advise against it. Incorrect pressure, the wrong nozzle, or the wrong chemistry can permanently damage an acrylic surface and cost thousands to correct. Court cleaning takes specific equipment and technique — call us before anyone touches your surface.
